Phenomenal Button wins in Canada

Championship leader Sebastian Vettel looked to continue his incredible run this season as he started from pole at the Canadian Grand Prix, having won all but one of the races before.

Montreal was under threat from bad weather and it was to prove disruptive as the race was stopped for an extraordinary two-hour stop during bad weather with Vettel still in the lead, but Lewis Hamilton had already crashed out after connecting with Jensen Button.

There were a series of safety cars and restarts after that, and Vettel continued to control the race at the front, although Button started to tear through the field towards the end.

In an incredible finish, Button somehow managed to make it up to chase Vettel who, in the very last lap, lost control for a vital second to allow the McLaren through to take a most unbelievable victory.

Despite that, the German remains the clear leader in the title race, even extending his lead.
