David Miliband, who narrowly lost to his brother Ed in the Labour leadership election last year, has had to deny claims that he is plotting against his brother.
The Labour party is in a difficult period after leaks of documents which indicated some members had been involved in getting Tony Blair to retire to let Gordon Brown become Prime Minister.
That is set against the background of the party struggling to gain voters, despite the unpopularity of the cuts from the Coalition government.
