It has been announced that Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney will miss about five weeks with his current injury, which is much longer than was originally thought.
Having stated that he was looking to leave Old Trafford, Rooney made a complete u-turn and signed a new contract to earn himself huge wages, prompting fans to hope that he might soon return to the pitch in top form.
However, it has since become clear that he will not be available for a considerable amount of time, and United will have to labour on without him.
They fared well on Saturday against Tottenham, managing a 2 – 0 win, but more challenges await them in the Champions League and the Premiership, so they will hope to get their England star back very soon.
