The huge clash scheduled at Stamford Bridge on Sunday between Chelsea and Manchester United was one of many fixtures to be postponed as the English football league was disrupted by the cold weather.
The only two matches played this weekend saw Sunderland beat Bolton 1 – 0 at the Stadium of Light, thanks to a header from the impressive Danny Wellbeck, and West Ham secure a late 1 – 1 draw at Blackburn.
Fans now have to wait until Boxing Day for the next set of games, with those not played this weekend having to be rescheduled next year.
